On a posting on über producer Kevin "Caveman" Shirley's (Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa, Iron Maiden) Facebook fan page, it was announced that the debut album by the new band formerly-known-as-Black Country - featuring legendary vocalist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), hard rockin' blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, UFO, Foreigner) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, KISS) is finished.
A studio playback, attended by Hughes and Red Hot Chili Pepper/Chickenfoot drummer Chad Smith ensued earlier this evening :
"The Debut Album of the Band Formerly Known as "Black Country" is finished!!! Glenn Hughes and Chad Smith from the Chili Peppers came to the studio to hear a playback this evening.
They were blown away - Chad even said he was "jealous" of Jason's playing, which is monumental!. It's thrilling! ROCK! Hughes is killing it, Bonamassa solos off the charts, Sherinian "honor the virtuosity!" Can you even wait 'til September?"
To keep up to date on the project one can join Shirley's Facebook fan page at this location.

What d`ya mean Wait Til September!! bloody hell get it out next month boys..I just saw Bonamassa 2 weeks ago in sydney..Hope they tour here!!
So this was the BIG secret this producer was hiding all those months. Well, Deep Purple, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin and Those Crooked Vultures, beware. My "sadness" is more than having to wait, is that this guys won´t be visiting my homeland here in Caracas, Venez.
