Ex Stone Mick Taylor To Stage Blues Summit

This news courtesy of Classic Rock Magazine :

Mick Taylor (John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Rolling Stones), Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience) Terry Reid (the singer who turned down both Zep and Purple) and Colin Allen (Bluesbreakers, Stone The Crows, Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker) are all set to appear on stage together on May 5 at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Dubbed Mick Taylor’s Blues Summit, the team-up forms part of the London Guitar festival. Other guests will be announced soon.

The repertoire, we hear, 'is a real classic blues rock 60s-70s wet dream'. It will include music by Hendrix, Stones, Bob Dylan, Mick Taylor solo, Bluesbreakers, blues standards, Terry Reid and Barry McCabe (Irish blues guitarist).

If you haven't checked out guitarist Barry McCabe yet, I strongly urge you to do so. One of the few to carry on the legacy of the late, great Rory Gallagher, his 'The Peace Within' album is a classic in the blues genre. Barry McCabe
