Leslie West Illness Forces Changes to Scheduled Shows

Leslie West, legendary guitarist and singer for the group Mountain and West, Bruce Jr and Laing, is at home recovering from a recent stay at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey to treat blood clots, (DVT) and a pseudo aneurysm in his leg.

Intervention Radiologist, Dr. John Rundback stated, “Leslie underwent several procedures to re-vascularize his right leg with angioplasty and extensive use of stints”. The aneurysm was a result of anticoagulation drugs administered to Leslie to resolve and prevent further thrombosis. Associated with his 30 year battle with diabetes, Leslie is expected to make a full recovery and is at home resting.

Due to the illness, West has been forced to postpone his September 28th shows at Iridium in New York City and October 2nd “Supergroup 3rd Annual Concert to Benefit “The Right Turn” in Foxboro, Massachusetts . The Iridium shows will be rescheduled for a later date.

All ticket sales will be valid for use at the later date. Leslie encourages his fans to attend and donate at the benefit in Foxboro to help out a “great cause” for “Rockers in Recovery”. While recovering, Leslie has been using his down time to write new material for his upcoming album, which will feature Zakk Wylde, Billy Gibbons & others, to be released in the Spring of 2011 on the Mascot Record Label. He appreciates all of his fans' support, and promises to be back on stage soon.
