New Name Of Bonamassa, Hughes, Bonham, Sherinian "Supergroup" Revealed

After much legal wrangling with a lesser known group of musicians over the name of the long awaited "Supergroup", it was revealed today that hard rocking blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, the Voice Of Rock", vocalist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian(Dream Theater, KISS, Alice Cooper) - will be henceforth known as Black Country Communion.

The band today also unveiled a brand new web site, which can be accessed at this location.

As reported last month, the still untitled album, recorded and produced by producer Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, Joe Bonamassa) is finished, awaiting a tentative September release.

Of the upcoming release, according to Shirley having heard the recording, both Iron Maiden's Steve Harris and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, are said to have been "blown away" by the experience.(Photo Credit : Marty Temme)
