Progressive rock supergroups Yes and Asia are teaming up to tour North America this summer. Steve Howe, who plays guitar in both groups, will double up during the shows and Yes will feature on/off bandmate Rick Wakeman's son Adam and Benoit David, a Canadian singer, who will replace ailing frontman Jon Anderson.
The new dates, which begin in Indio, California in June, come two months after Yes scrapped a planned tour of America, citing "unforeseen medical reasons".
Bassist Chris Squire was reportedly admitted to the hospital on February 9 with an unspecified medical emergency which required surgery on his leg.
The unlucky group was forced to postpone dates in 2008 after Anderson suffered a severe asthma attack and was subsequently diagnosed with respiratory failure.
The singer has made it clear in recent blog posts he is unhappy with the fact his bandmates are touring without him.
