Actress Liv Tyler's estranged husband Royston Langdon, ex-frontman for the band Spacehog is bidding to become the new lead singer of rock supergroup Velvet Revolver.
The British singer, 36, is vying for a spot with the Grammy Award-winning group after its former lead singer, Scott Weiland, left to reunite with the Stone Temple Pilots in April.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Langdon is among a handful of frontrunners in consideration to replace Weiland.
A source tells the magazine: "They all got along great. It was really a refreshing change for the band," adding Langdon is "definitely in the mix."
A spokesperson for Velvet Revolver has declined to confirm whether an offer was made to the singer.
