According to a posting on the official Back Door Slam web site, the rising young UK bluesers, who recently reached #3 on Billboard's Blues Charts with their debut long play release, 'Roll Away' have been added to the upcoming Kid Rock stadium tour, where they'll be alongside Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd.
"Wow.... we've been confirmed on the upcoming Kid Rock Tour, which means we'll also share a billing with the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd..! This is a STADIUM tour, so means we'll play to thousands of people every night. Cool huh?! More details for you tomorrow, just wanted to share."
Also be sure to catch the band at the upcoming Telluride Blues & Brews Fest September 12, 13, 14, 2008, in Telluride, Colorado. Also appearing on the bill for this festival will Gov't Mule, John Hiatt, The Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi, Etta James, Canned Heat, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Joan Osborne and another rising young blues guitarist Ryan McGarvey, who along with Davy Knowles of Back Door Slam, is currently featured in the August issue of Guitar Player Magazine.
