Robert Plant On Zeppelin Reunion : Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Jason Macneil of TorontoSun.com reports that backstage prior to their performance at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (and producer T-Bone Burnett) were presented with plaques celebrating the fact "Raising Sand" was certified gold and platinum in Canada.
But when asked by one reporter about the possibility of LED ZEPPELIN reuniting for a tour, Plant seemed to put the notion to rest in a very comical manner: Pretending to nod off and snore during the question.
"Wake me up when she's gone," Plant quipped.
In related news, Plant and Krauss have added a series of nine dates, mostly on the West Coast, to their Raising Sand tour. The new dates are Sept. 23 in Kansas City, Mo.; Sept. 24 in St. Louis; Sept. 26 in Houston; Sept. 27 in Austin, Texas; Sept. 30 in Portland, Ore; Oct. 1 in Seattle; Oct. 3 in San Francisco; Oct. 4 in Kelseyville, Calif., and Oct. 5 in Saratoga, Calif. The duo released the critically acclaimed Raising Sand album in 2007.
