Heading the list of 15, from which five will be chosen for induction, are shock rockers Alice Cooper, who have finally been nominated after first being eligible in 1994. Other notable nominees for classic rockers include Boston blues rockers The J. Geils Band, Donovan and Dr. John.
Rounding out the list of nominees are Bon Jovi, Tom Waits, Neil Diamond, LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Donna Summer, Chic, Laura Nyro, Joe Tex, Darlene Love and Chuck Willis.
