Planet Rock is reporting that Michael Schenker has revealed that the Michael Schenker Group will be releasing a brand new live DVD later this year.
The MSG have been touring Japan in recent weeks and in a post on his official website Schenker revealed:
“We successfully finished the MSG - 30th Anniversary - (Special Line-up) Japan Tour. A DVD and Recording featuring live footage from this tour will be released in Autumn.”
The current MSG line-up features drummer Simon Phillips (Judas Priest, Mike Oldfield, Ian Gillan, Toto), vocalist Gary Barden, guitarist/keyboardist Wayne Findlay and bass legend Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Gary Moore, Black Sabbath, Brian May).

After how he was only a little over a year ago, it's great seeing Michael in this great form. Fantastic solo on this clip.
Michael and I hung around a bit in 1985 or 84 in Newport Beach, CA. We would go out partying at places like Woodys Wharf and the Red Onion etc. At the time he was totally infatuated with the Nancy Wilson from Heart. Michael was intense in everything he did back then. He also would get us into fights occasionally and would comment how he wasn't going to use his has in a fight because of a possible injury that may prevent him from playing. Just a little history... I lost touch with him and hope he is doing great.
