Last night at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Theater in Santa Fe, New Mexico blues rock guitar titan Joe Bonamassa performed in front of a sold out crowd. In spite of the freezing temperatures outside, the venue was on fire as the guitarist put on a fiery, passionate show featuring many selections from his upcoming studio release 'Black Rock', due out March 23 via J&R Adventures world-wide.
One of the many highlights of the evening was a special guest appearance by the pride of New Mexico, young blues rock guitar phenom Ryan McGarvey, who sat in with Bonamassa for two songs - first on a song from the previously mentioned 'Black Rock', a cover of Otis Rush's "Three Times A Fool" - which saw the two trading call and response guitar licks in the time honored blues tradition. McGarvey continued to sit in on "Blues Deluxe" the cover of the Jeff Beck Group classic which Bonamassa covered on his 2003 album of the same name. Fan produced footage follows below :
