Rock AAA is reporting that Aerosmith frontman and brand new ‘American Idol’ judge, Steven Tyler, is set to launch his new autobiography ‘Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?’ in May.
The book is set to cover every aspect of the charismatic singer’s life, from his childhood in the Bronx, his early music career, his relationship with Joe Perry and the spectacular rise to fame, fall from grace, and return to glory of his band – Aerosmith.
Tyler has implied that this book will leave nothing to the imagination, which may make for an interesting read, as apart from detailing his career, he promises to also delve into his relationships with his 4 daughters, including actress Liv Tyler, as well as revealing the details of his epic love life:
“This is not just my take. This is the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse’s lips. I’ve been mythicized, Mick-icized, eulogized and fooligized, I’ve been Cole-Portered and farmer’s-daughtered, I’ve been Led Zepped and 12-stepped,”
“I’m a rhyming fool and so cool that me, Fritz the Cat, and Mohair Sam are the baddest cats that am. I have so many outrageous stories, too many, and I’m gonna tell ‘em all. All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear.”
When asked about his motivation for writing the book, Tyler stated “Thoughts of mortality” as his inspiration. However it’s likely that the $2 million deal he signed with publisher, Harper Collins may also have been a catalyst in the decision.

I am a fan but after reading this book appreciate the human being Steven Tyler is, how he continues to survive adversity and his strength to continue and maintain his sobriety. Hoping that he is able to do so and continue to grow as a father, grandfather, and great rock and roller of our times. Thanks for sharing your memories Mr Steven Tyler.
