Legendary manager Herb Cohen, who was instrumental in guiding Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention, The Alice Cooper Band and Tom Waits to fame has died, aged 77
Cohen died of unknown causes on Tuesday, March 16, in Napa, California.
In addition to Waits, his clients included Tim Buckley and Linda Ronstadt.
Business partners Cohen and Zappa also set up DiscReet Records and companion labels Straight and Bizarre Records in 1969. Their business ventures collapsed in 1976 amid litigation between the pair.
