Guitarist Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex Guns N' Roses) and John Mayer joined that "Little Ol' Band From Texas" ZZ Top on Friday, August 21st at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California to perform the classic songs 'LaGrange' and 'Tush'. ZZ Top was forced to hastily arrange shows after an injury to Steven Tyler forced Aerosmith to pull the plug on the bands' joint summer tour and they picked two House of Blues venues in California to kickstart their own line of dates.
