Remembering Phil Lynott Of Thin Lizzy (August 20, 1949 -January 4th 1986)
It's hard to believe, but it's been 23 years now to the day (January 4th, 1986 to be exact) that the rock & roll world lost one of the most talented and charismatic frontmen/bassists, vocalists and songwriters when Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott tragically passed away at the way too young age of 36.
On the night of December 25th 1985, he was rushed to hospital suffering from a kidney and liver infection, later dying of heart failure and pneumonia on January 4th.
But instead of the sordid details of his earthly demise, let's remember him this way, as in this video from 1978, in Australia, live and dangerous, onstage and rockin' on "The Cowboy Song/The Boys Are Back In Town"
