Cheap Trick are in negotiations to stage a massive Beatles symphonic show in Las Vegas.
The band staged a tribute to the Fab Four at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2007 - to mark the 40th anniversary of the group's 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album - and now the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper reports the quartet is close to finalizing a headlining slot with the Las Vegas Hilton.
The proposed show would feature Cheap Trick performing the classic album with a full orchestra.
Rumors suggest the Hilton residency could begin this spring and stretch throughout the year.

I caught Cheap Trick's Sgt. Pepper's show at the Hollywood Bowl this past summer (June '08) and it was fantastic. I'd read awhile back that Trick was recording the Sgt Pepper's album with Pepper's original audio engineer, Geoff Emerick, so I guess they'll have a CD to sell at the show. If memory serves, Cheap Trick was voted one of the top 5 underrated bands in rock history by Rolling Stone online readers, so it will be nice to see Trick headline, since when they toured this past year with Journey and Heart, they were the warm-up act. Such a hard working, talented band, deserves to be in the limelight.
