Former Bonham Vocalist Daniel MacMaster Dies at 39
In events which seem to be occurring way too much lately, yet another talented musician has passed away. This time, Bonham vocalist Daniel Stewart MacMaster, 39, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center, on Sunday, March 16, 2008 due to complications from Pneumonia.
Daniel MacMaster released two albums with Bonham, named for drummer and sometime Led Zeppelin member Jason Bonham, and as their vocalist he cracked the Billboard Top 40 with the band's 1989 album ' The Disregard Of Timekeeping', which contained the single "Wait For You".
In 2006 the vocalist released a solo album called 'Rock Bonham...And The Long Road Back' on Suncity Records.
MacMaster was pronounced dead sunday night as he lost his battle with complications from Pneumonia. Daniel suffered from Streptococcus Group A Infection that entered his blood stream. Usually people just get the non fatal Streptococcus Throat with this bug but it attacked Daniel at his weakest and his organs started to shut down. The doctors tried everything while Daniel was in hospital, but unfortunately it was too late.
We offer our deepest condolences to MacMaster's friends and family. R.I.P.
